Sustainability: our goals
Since 2015, our sustainability goals have been laid down in our One Planet Plan. This plan contains measurable goals relating to the climate, biodiversity, circularity and society.
Climate
If we want leave a liveable planet for future generations, we have to take action now to ensure global warming does not exceed 1.5°C.
Biodiversity
Eneco is keen to play a pioneering role in the energy sector when it comes to reversing biodiversity loss. That is why Eneco has set the One Planet goal of ensuring that, with effect from 2025, all new renewable energy sources will have a net positive impact on biodiversity.
Society and communities
It is important to Eneco that everyone in society is able to take part in the energy transition. That is why we have included the social and community-related components of the energy transition in our One Planet Plan.
Circularity
A circular economy plays a crucial role in reducing CO2 emissions, and therefore in combatting climate change.
Our sustainable resources and solutions
We are investing in the development of renewable energy projects, such wind farms and large solar roofs and heating networks. These are projects that we work on with partners or that have been commissioned by customers.
Climate neutral by 2035: what is Eneco doing to achieve this?
Eneco is taking specific steps to help accelerate the energy transition with respect to our own activities and the energy we supply to our customers. This will enable us to pass on a liveable planet to future generations.
